EF #29 : FOR YOU, MY FUTURE DAUGHTER

Talking about someone, this ‘someone’ just popped up in my mind. I’m not gonna write about someone appeared in the past and disappeared afterwards, leaving me in such a pain without a cure. This time I’m not gonna write about my parents,my family, and my beloved friends who shape me like the way I am now (which I’m so grateful of having them all) since I’ve already written about them a thousand times. Let me write about you. Yes, you...my future daughter.

I keep thinking about you. I’m wondering how will you look like? Will you like your mommy or your daddy or the mixture of us? Once you knock our door, I can’t imagine how happy I will be. I’m gonna cuddle you every single night, hug you until you fall asleep and teach you so many things. Remember, your mommy is a teacher. I will introduce you kinds of color and teach you how to color up your world.

When you are still a cute little baby, mom will dress you up with soooo many colorful clothes and shoes. But, don’t worry my daughter. Mom will not put semi high-heels on your little feet just like what their moms did to their daughters. I know it hurt. Mom will not dress you up like an adult like what they did. You are too cute and I want it that way. Mom will always answer your question, like:

“Mom, what’s that?”

“Mom, what’s this?”

“Mom, why can birds fly but we can’t?”

“Mom, why do you wear a scarf on your head?”

Ahh, daughter.....

Later I will teach you how to put on a hijab as well. Now mom is struggling,you know that. But later, Mom promises that mom will teach you everything. Don’t worry..... Mom will always do the best for you.

Mom will witness you growing up, getting taller and prettier. Then mom will pick you up to the school. Mom will put on a uniform beforehand!! You must look so pretty! Don’t worry..mom will be always there to help you wear a tie and put some powder on your pretty face. Mom will always be there to teach you when you find the homework so hard to do. Remember, your mom is a teacher. You are student that Mom want to teach the most in the world!!!

 When holiday comes, mom and dad will take you to beaches!! You know, mom likes beaches a lot. There, you can say hello to coral, enjoy the breeze, feel the warmth of the sun, build the sandcastle and you will realize that life is so good.... Because you have mom and dad.

My daughter, we will meet in the right time because mom believe God will have us that chance. But, mom has one thing to do in order to make it happen. Mom has to........meet daddy first. Then mom and dad will meet you. InshaAllah...
